Story updates...

While doing research for my David and Ragnhild story I was contacted by a wonderful person in Malta. They have supplied me with some images of newspaper clippings talking about Ragnhild and a few even have Lady Ragnhild in them! And one is a image of a painting that she did. I am over the moon about this! I finally have a face to go with the name and am thrilled. Images are below the post.
While I am working hard on this story I am also working on the next story for my Forever Fey series. I got a sneak peek at a part that will be coming up within the story… I’m not at this point yet but when a character shares something you write it down when it is shared. lol Here is the sneak peek for you (please remember this is rough draft just pounded out and no edits done).

Ashleigh felt her breath catch in her throat when Bran took her hand. He was magnificent with his dark hair and brown eyes so like deep pools of chocolate with small gold flecks. Her stomach dropped and heat pooled deep with her most private areas as he brushed a kiss across her knuckles she felt herself become damp.
Bran smiled as he raised his head after kissing Ashleigh’s hand, her pupils had dilated and her scent gave away her arousal. “It is a pleasure to meet you Ashleigh,” he voice rumbled low in his chest, his eyes boring into hers.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you too Bran.” Ashleigh flushed her stomach flipped at the deep gravel tones of Bran’s voice. Malcolm had warned her that Bran would have an effect on her lady bits but this was ridiculous. She watched as Bran’s eyes changed from their deep chocolate to a more golden color. Her eyes widened as she watched the small gold flecks grow, spreading so that Bran’s eyes were now golden amber.
Ashleigh’s reaction was affecting Bran and let that show in his eyes, he knew they were changing color and he watched with amusement as the woman in front of him tried to fight her basic urges.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend and I wish you all a great upcoming week.

Blessed Be.

PictureVampire Girl Image by Little-Pip she can be found on deviantart.com
Full Name: Ashleigh Morgan
Nickname: Ash, Lady Ash
Race: Vampire
D.O.B.: May 21, 1827
D.O.D.: October 31, 1847
Age: 20 y/o when killed and turned
Weapon(s): Her feminine wiles, her fangs, her speed, and most importantly her brain.
Family: Mother: Anna died in childbirth
Father: Justin Morgan killed trying to protect her.
                 Siblings: None
Date of Rebirth: October 31, 1847

Killed her Master: October 31, 1927 (helped by Connie and Maryjo). 80 years to the day when her father was killed and she was turned, she finally achieved her revenge. She escapes Chicago that night and heads for Scotland.

Physical Description:
Eye Color:  Silver/Blue with a slight up tilt to the outer corners
Hair Color/Style: Dark chestnut long, little more than half way down her back usually wears it down
Skin tone: Olive complexion
Height: 5’5”
Weight: 120 pounds

Identifying Characteristics: Her eyes esp. with the dark hair and olive complexion

General Appearance: No tattoo’s, when she was growing up it was unseemly for a lady to have them, even though that word only fits her gender wise. She’s always been told that she was pretty and has always used that to her advantage. She has a few scars on her back and shoulders from falling out of a tree that she and friends used to climb to jump out of for swimming.

She likes to wear things that are form fitting and that show skin. She likes short skirts as well as cropped shirts; she also enjoys having men notice her. She will wear jeans or slacks as long as they are snug enough to hug her hips and ass.

Wears minimal jewelry necklaces and bracelets

Personality:
Strengths: Speed, agility, people are always under estimating her (esp. men)
Weaknesses: Good looking men, sunlight, the people she cares about
Likes: Men, Sex, Blood
Dislikes: Hunters, jealous women, not getting what she wants
Hobbies: Killing stupid little mortals that prey upon the wrong people (i.e. rapists and such), gardening, massage
Skills: Gardening, bartending
Reputation: Within the vampire community ‘The Master Killer’
Personality: Ashleigh is in general, pretty nice, for a vampire that is, as long as she getting what she wants, usually meaning blood, sex or to be left alone. She has no problem telling people what she thinks of them whether it’s flattering or not. She’s been called a bitch more times than she can count and only laughs at those that call her that. She doesn’t trust easily but that has kept her alive for a long time now. And once you’ve earned her trust and friendship she considers you hers and will venture to Hades and back for you.

She has a problem with most male vampires as her sire and his closest friends sorely abused her. But from that experience she also learned a wonderful way for controlling men, which with the time period she was born in she would not have known otherwise.

Friendly with most people she meets; she tries not to judge people by their looks but by their personalities and how they treat others. She has no patience for stupid people and has no problem telling someone that they are stupid. She loves getting compliments and hopes to one day find that one true love. But she is also a realist and knows that that is just bullshit.

History:
Past: Ashleigh’s mother died during childbirth and her father would not talk about her. Her father raised her as best he could on his own as he never married again. Soon after her 20th birthday she and her father were attacked. Her father was killed trying to protect her. She remembers staring into her father’s empty dead eyes, his blood soaking into her clothes as she too was killed then turned. She rebelled constantly and was beaten quite often by her sire for not being a quiet, docile female. She bided her time before killing him to avenge her father. Making sure she learned all she needed from him and the other older vampires they lived with. A couple of them, two females (Connie and Maryjo), helped her with dispatching their sire. She then left to make her own way in the world.

Exciting Connections

PicturePhoto of Budapest
This last week has been so incredibly amazing! Lots of great things happening at work, home life is wonderful, the dogs are both well… with the exception of Tala getting car sick on the way to Belfair. Lol But the wonderful thing this post is mainly about is I’ve made another family connection to David and Ragnhild!

For those of you that don’t know I have the first eight parts to my David and Ragnhild story posted here in my blog. To obtain the others you need to sign up for my newsletter and then let me know so that I can send you the back versions of the story if you are wanting to follow its progress.

What is so exciting for me is this particular connection is to Ragnhild! Yes you read that correctly to Ragnhild! I am just over the moon about this. Mr. G and I have been exchanging different information about our mutual lady. He is related to her through his wife and they currently reside in Budapest too.

So those following the story will know who little Hugo is. Ragnhild’s little brother who comes to her defense against a very spoiled cousin (this still makes me wonder if younger brothers are better than the older ones lol). Well his first wife Elisabeth that you all will meet soon is the connection between our Lady Ragnhild and Mr. G’s wife’s family.

Mr. G has been so incredibly amazing in sending me links that tell more about Lady Ragnhild and it is all just giving me a deeper insight into her and her life. I am truly thankful for all the amazing individuals that I have met while on this path and can’t imagine how many more that I may yet have the joy of meeting.

My life is so incredibly blessed and just becomes more so when I get the opportunity to make the acquaintance of people like Mr. G. I wish each and every one of you a joyous day and may someone new come into your world and bring you joy and insight.

Brightest Blessing.

“Don’t you dare tell me who I can or cannot see!” Damara snarled across the family dining room table at her brother. They were supposed to be having a nice family lunch with their uncle.

William’s voice was filled with ice. “You will do what you are told. You know the laws of the clan as well if not better than any of the others.”

“To hell with the laws! I love Scott, and that’s not going to change. He knows all about us already because of his father. I’m over twenty-one Will I can choose a mate for myself. You don’t understand because you haven’t let yourself fall in love.”

Raising his chin so that he was looking down his nose at her he responded in an arrogant tone. “It doesn’t matter if I’ve been in love or not. I don’t need to fall for anyone to know that getting involved with people different from us is a bad idea.”

“You’re referring to Mom and Dad. Sorry, big difference here. I am not going to hide anything from Scott. Not like Dad did to Mom.” Damara narrowed her eyes as she glared across the table at her overbearing sibling.

“You two need to stop. This arguing isn’t doing either of you any good, and it’s giving me indigestion,” Uncle Mac interjected, frowning down at his bowl of venison stew. He had been looking forward to eating lunch at home with his niece and nephew for a change.

“Sorry, Uncle Mac, you’re right though, this isn’t getting us anywhere.” She turned to face her brother, and let ice filled her voice, “If you don’t back off on trying to run my life, you are going to regret it dear brother.”

“Oh, what are you going to do?” William asked, his voice dripping sarcasm as he leaned back in his seat cross his arms over his chest.

With a smile that could make the stoutest man’s blood run cold, she leaned slightly across the table pushing her bowl of stew aside and in a quiet voice she answered him. “What will I do? How about this dear big brother, if you do not back off I’m going to use all the spell knowledge I have to teach you a lesson. And not only that, but the spell will stay in effect until you find a woman that you can love.”

“Oh, sure you will. Like I’d be able to fall in love with a woman while under some bloody spell of yours.”

“I swear by the Goddess you wouldn’t know love if it bit you on your hairy arse! Besides, you are forgetting just how strong I am at spell casting. You would never even know what was happening until it was too late.” A smug smile played upon her lips she leaned back, her eyes glittering with contempt.

“You wouldn’t dare. There would be too many questions as to where I was, not including the repercussions that would occur at the next convocation. And you know that the elders would call for an early one if I was to disappear,” William said smugly.

“Both of you just knock it off! William, you do need to back off on bossing your sister about regarding her life or anything else. And you,” Uncle Mac said, rounding on Damara, “you just stop with the spell threats right here and now.”

“I’m sorry that we’re upsetting you Uncle Mac. But, just to clarify, I am not threatening. I am simply stating fact. I am tired of trying to do everything for everyone else. I have been the dutiful one in this family and am tired of it. I love Scott, period, and there will be no changing that. William, if you continue to anger me and try to run my life, I will follow through on what I said. Believe me if you want. Ignore me at your own risk. It is your choice.” Damara got up from the table and stalked out of the kitchen.

A low growl rumbled from deep in William’s chest as he started to sputter in disbelief. “I can’t believe that stubborn, ungrateful, irresponsible…”

His Uncle looked in the direction that Damara had gone, then turned and quietly stated, “Don’t push her, lad. She can, and probably will do what she said. We both know this.” William started to interrupt his uncle who held up a hand for silence, “Just listen for a change. You keep at her the way you have been and I may just have to see about helping her follow through on what she said. Think about it laddie. I’m going back to work now.”

Uncle Mac got up and walked out of the dining room just as Damara had moments before. William sat there stunned, unable to fathom how crazy everyone in his immediate family was getting. Keeping control over the entire clan seemed to be much easier that controlling his own family. He looked around the table at all the dishes and uneaten food. Shaking his head he got up from the table and put all the food away and the dishes into the sink, before he too headed back to work.

(Sometimes big brothers really should listen to their baby sisters as William will learn the hard way.)

Cover Reveal ~ A Midnight Meeting

15/6/2014

So a few weeks ago I did a sneak peek for you all of A Midnight Meeting. One of the Forever Fey stories. Well here is another peek to go along with it. Most of you know that I normally create my own covers. It just tends to be easier as my OCD about little things can drive others crazy. Thank the goddess that my friend Cyn gets me!

Here is the amazing cover that Cynthia (Cyn to me) of CCR Studio create for me. What do you think? I personally love it! I only gave her a vague idea of what I was picturing and it is almost as if she could see the same thing I was in my head.

Thank you so much Cyn! I look forward to working with you again!
